You are probably reading this because of the same interest: pickleball; surviving it by getting better. I wanted a new paddle but there were so many to choose from - and the prices ... definitely demanded more research. With my mechanical engineering and high school tennis backgrounds, I was keen on figuring out the specifications of the advertised paddles and what might work for me. I thought I had to replace tennis strings quite often back then; but now a pickleball being solid and hitting a solid paddle surface means the wear will be considerably higher. You can't replace the surface only (legally, according to USAP). And with the core construction being polypropylene honeycombs, the hexagonal walls will likely break down also. But what was puzzling me was the asking prices for these paddles. So I applied my backgrounds to form Asteriskk in order for pickleball paddles to be replaced more often without breaking the bank each time. It is a shared desire with most other paddle making companies out there. And this is my honest goal: to make a paddle with quality, engineered towards performance and the pricing will be less. They have become my problems in solving and Asteriskk will try its best to make the goal come true. We seek to innovate paddle technology and to share the joy of pickleball with everyone.

These paddles are sold with an intention of providing an upgrade from beginner paddles. The Vk1000 has key features that high-end paddles have: raw (Toray) t700 carbon fiber surface, 16mm polypropylene core, foam injected and thermoformed edges (more pace/power). USAP approved.
These paddles are cold-pressed with the end products having a high friction weaving pattern using carbon fiber (Toray T700) and a 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core. The side edges are slightly reinforced at strategic positions. Hv1003 should have better control at the kitchen line, but at the cost of pace/power compared to the vk1000. The model number and decal are a homage to a Boy Scout troop I grew up in.
These paddles are thermoformed with foam injection on the edges and the thickness is 16mm. Karma has performed beyond expectations. The Kevlar material combined with (Toray) T700 has provided a softer feel when hitting the ball and thus improving on placement with the added pop from thermoforming. The topspin has improved with the ball dipping to keep the ball in; surprisingly, the control is not diminished because the volleys and drops are still executed with ease. USAP approved.
